AIGE Competition 2024: A Landmark Event for Esports in Tamil Nadu!

On August 31st, we proudly partnered with Asiaville to host the AIGE Competition, an exciting esports event that brought together some of the most talented gamers in Tamil Nadu. Participants competed by playing games from the AyeVee App or AIGE – a unique series of interactive games developed by Asiaville that combine immersive storytelling with dynamic gameplay. These games, which are one of a kind in India, are available in multiple regional languages, making them accessible and engaging for a diverse audience. ESAT partnered with Asiaville for this event to support and promote the innovative games they have developed.
We were incredibly honored to have Dr. Ajith Raja as our Chief Guest. As the custodians of esports in Tamil Nadu, ESAT places great emphasis on the health and fitness of esports athletes, and Dr. Raja's presence underscored this commitment. His presence brought immense enthusiasm and energy to the event, reinforcing the significance of esports and interactive gaming in Tamil Nadu. Dr. Ajith Raja's support is crucial in driving the growth of esports in our region, and we are grateful for his encouragement.

Sirish Singaram, President of the Esports Authority of Tamil Nadu (ESAT), stated, "At ESAT, our mission goes beyond just promoting esports as a sport. We are deeply committed to nurturing the entire esports ecosystem. From today I am happy to commit that ESAT will support many such events to showcase Indian based Game Developers and try our best to promote Indian games in the Esports ecosystem."

The competition was fierce, with participants showcasing their gaming skills across various titles (Who Killed Kavitha and Let Me Out) from the AyeVee App. We are proud to congratulate our top three winners:
Dashiya from Stella Maris College - First Prize: A brand new PS5! 🥇
Aseef from SRM University - Second Prize 🥈
Felicia from SRM University - Third Prize 🥉
Dashiya emerged as the champion, taking home a PlayStation 5 for her outstanding performance. All three winners demonstrated exceptional gaming talent, and we are excited to see their continued success in the esports arena.
